Construction Coordinator

This position will support the Construction Managers in the successful opening of new stores and renovations of existing stores by performing a variety of administrative functions for various clients.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Permit tracking and follow up

  • Assist with input and management of new store and remodel projects on RJP CM web based portal.

  • Provide administrative and communicative support for Project Managers that are travelling by tracking documents, deliveries, GC milestones, and obtaining project feedback and approvals

  • Liaison with Project Managers and the Client to initiate and follow up on project closeout applications, obtain, review and qualify all documentation for payment applications

  • Maintain change order logs for project managers; track and record approvals

  • Issue, obtain, document and follow up on GC and vendor bids

  • Maintain schedule and follow up on barricade graphic installation tracking schedules

  • Assist internal and cross functional departments in informational gathering and problem solving

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Construction Management preferred)

  • Must have relevant understanding of construction terms and processes

  • Strong computer skills with above average understanding of Mobile Technology

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and Internet is required.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

  • Functions both independently and effectively as part of a team

  • Strong organizational skills; must be consistent and reliable for tracking, documenting, and communicating detailed information

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

Construction Manager

Responsible from site investigation, feasibility studies and initial budgeting through due diligence, entitlements, permitting, bidding, contract award, construction supervision and turnover to operations.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Manage the entire development cycle for the projects including: due diligence; site investigations; sourcing, hiring and supervising architects and civil engineers; managing the project through entitlements (zoning, architectural review boards, city councils) and building permits; writing scopes of work for each project; sourcing, hiring, bidding, selecting and contracting with general contractors; construction supervision; and turnover to operations.

  • Support the development of the pipeline for the following year including site investigation studies and reports; site specific cost estimates of both the project and the deferred maintenance specified by operations; site plans; schedules; elevations, etc.

  • Assist clients in developing new store and remodel projects. Involves all duties above as well as interaction by phone, site visits, drawing reviews, entitlement recommendations and involvement, cost analysis, etc.

  • Regular internal/external reporting regarding project status, construction status or overall program status.

  • Work closely with Construction Coordinator in updating RJP and client construction management web portals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Construction Management preferred)

  • Must have relevant understanding of construction terms and processes

  • Strong computer skills with above average understanding of Mobile Technology

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word. Average competence with Microsoft Project is also required.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

  • Functions both independently and effectively as part of a team

  • Strong organizational skills; must be consistent and reliable for tracking, documenting, and communicating detailed information

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
